Effective leader with exceptional development/fundraising experience sought for position as Director of the Captain Avery Museum (captainaverymuseum.org).

Major responsibilities include fund raising, grant writing public relations and external communication. The Director reports to the Board, serves as Museum's primary community representative and oversees Museum operations. 

Required: Bachelor’s degree; 3-5 years development and public relations experience and excellent writing/editing, organizational and budget skills.

Ideal candidate will also possess non-profit management experience, preferably with a museum, and knowledge of /keen interest in the Chesapeake Bay and its history.
